Overview We are seeking an Ocean Export Coordinator to join our team in Virginia. Prior experience in freight forwarding is required for this position. This role is essential in handling the export process for ocean freight shipments, ensuring compliance with all regulations and providing exceptional service to our clients. Experience in car shipping is an advantage!
Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage the export process for ocean freight shipments from start to finish.
Prepare and review shipping documentation, including bills of lading and export permits.
Collaborate with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory levels, and any discrepancies.
Qualifications
Proven experience in Ocean export.
Familiar with the shipping lines (Maersk, MSC, CMA, Hapag, Zim, YML, EGL, and so on).
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, vendors, and team members.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Advantage for candidates who have experience in car shipping.
