Duties
- Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to optimize flow and comfort
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS system
- Handle guest inquiries via phone and in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Process payments accurately at the cashier station, including cash, credit/debit cards, and other forms of payment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and cashier area to ensure a welcoming environment
- Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously, enhancing overall satisfaction
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service delivery during busy hours
Qualifications
- Previous host/hostess experience or food service background preferred but not required
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience operating POS system
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, hospitality standards, or hotel guest services is advantageous
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a lively environment
- Professional phone etiquette and guest relations skills are essential
