<strong style="font-weight:700;">Job Title: Electrified Powertrain Simulation Engineer</strong><br /><strong>Job Description</strong><p>The Electrified Powertrain Simulation Engineer develops and optimizes electric powertrain systems for current and future electric vehicles. This role works within the ePowertrain department to define and implement system optimization strategies and workflows, using simulation tools to improve performance, efficiency, and reliability of electrified powertrains. The engineer applies a strong background in controls and system engineering, along with a deep understanding of powertrain systems, to support new vehicle development in a rapidly growing organization.<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Develop and refine electric powertrain systems for current and future electric vehicles, with a focus on performance, efficiency, and reliability.</li><li>Create, implement, and maintain system optimization strategies and workflows within the ePowertrain department.</li><li>Use simulation tools such as MATLAB and CarSim to model, analyze, and optimize electric powertrain behavior under various operating conditions.</li><li>Apply controls and system engineering principles to design and tune control strategies for electrified powertrains.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams involved in vehicle development to integrate electric powertrain systems into overall vehicle architectures.</li><li>Interpret simulation results and translate findings into actionable design improvements and engineering recommendations.</li><li>Support validation activities by correlating simulation results with test data and refining models and strategies accordingly.</li><li>Document methods, models, and results clearly to support knowledge sharing and future development work.</li></ul><strong>Essential Skills</strong><ul><li>Proven experience in electric powertrain development and simulation.</li><li>Strong understanding of powertrain systems, including electrified architectures and components.</li><li>Proficiency with MATLAB for modeling, analysis, and simulation of powertrain and control systems.</li><li>Experience using CarSim or similar vehicle dynamics simulation tools.</li><li>Solid background in controls engineering and/or system engineering.</li><li>Ability to develop and implement system optimization strategies and workflows.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree (BS) in engineering or a related technical field.</li></ul><strong>Additional Skills & Qualifications</strong><ul><li>Experience working on electric vehicle programs or advanced vehicle technologies.</li><li>Familiarity with bus, shuttle, or commercial vehicle applications.</li><li>Ability to work effectively in a fast-growing, dynamic environment.</li><li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.</li></ul><strong>Work Environment</strong><p>The role is based within an ePowertrain department that supports new vehicle development in a rapidly expanding organization.
