This role combines deep Salesforce platform expertise with AI-augmented development practices—you’ll use tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and other agentic AI systems to deliver production-ready solutions 2–3x faster than traditional workflows, while maintaining the judgment and architectural thinking that makes great developers irreplaceable.</p> <p><br></p> <p>You won’t just use AI autocomplete. You’ll orchestrate AI agents to consistently ship high-quality code, translate ambiguous client requirements into structured technical designs, and own features end-to-end across multiple consulting engagements, primarily in healthcare and regulated industries.</p> <p><br></p> <p><span style="font-weight: bold">Key Responsibilities</span></p> <ul> <li>Lead AI-augmented Salesforce development to deliver secure, scalable solutions across Apex</li> <li>(triggers, batch, queueable), LWC, custom data models, and complex REST/SOAP integrations</li> <li>Translate ambiguous client requirements into clear technical designs; present solution options</li> <li>with defined trade-offs across cost, scalability, timeline, and maintainability<span>•</span><br>Own features end-to-end—from discovery and architecture through development, deployment,</li> <li>and post-launch optimization</li> <li>Establish CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows; enforce testing standards, security best</li> <li>practices, and high unit test coverage with meaningful validation logic</li> <li>Proactively identify technical risks, performance bottlenecks, and architectural debt; implement</li> <li>solutions that improve reliability and long-term platform health</li> <li>Push back constructively when requirements are unclear; tie technical decisions directly to</li> <li>business outcomes</li> </ul> <p><br></p> <p><span style="font-weight: bold">Technical Requirements</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: bold">Salesforce Platform</span></p> <ul> <li>Expert-level Apex: triggers, batch classes, queueable/schedulable jobs, test classes</li> <li>Strong Lightning Web Components (LWC) and/or Aura experience</li> <li>Deep understanding of data model design, governor limits, and platform best practices</li> <li>Integration experience: REST/SOAP APIs, middleware platforms, event-driven architecture</li> <li>SOQL/SOSL optimization and large data volume handling</li> <li>Security model proficiency: profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, field-level security</li> </ul> <p><br></p> <p><span style="font-weight: bold">DevOps & Tooling</span></p> <ul> <li>Git workflows: pull requests, code reviews, branching strategies</li> <li>CI/CD for Salesforce: Salesforce DX, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar</li> <li>VS Code with Salesforce Extensions, Developer Console, Workbench</li> <li>Data migration tools and strategies: Data Loader, external ETL tools</li> <li>Strong debugging and troubleshooting across the Salesforce platform</li> </ul> <p><br></p> <p><span style="font-weight: bold">AI-Assisted Development</span></p> <p>You must demonstrate practical, production-level experience using AI development tools, not just</p> <p>autocomplete. Specifically:</p> <ul> <li>Prompt Engineering: Craft detailed, context-rich prompts that produce correct, maintainable</li> <li>code. Structure requirements so AI tools can parse them effectively. Iterate when initial outputs</li> <li>miss the mark.</li> <li>Tool Orchestration: Break complex features into AI-friendly tasks. Know when AI output needs</li> <li>human review vs. when it can be trusted. Leverage AI for boilerplate, tests, documentation, and</li> <li>refactoring.</li> <li>Quality Assurance: Evaluate AI-generated code for security vulnerabilities, performance issues,</li> <li>and governor limit compliance. Ensure AI-produced tests achieve meaningful coverage.</li> <li>Recognize hallucinations quickly.</li> <li>Requirement Translation: Convert vague business requirements into structured specs that both humans and AI can work from.
