Each Ism can be styled, remixed, and transformed through AI-driven modes that affect visuals, motion, and tone. Our platform blends art, language, and machine intelligence into a living, collaborative content ecosystem.

We’re a small, ambitious team building the next frontier of creative expression — where AI, design, and human imagination meet.

Role Overview

We’re looking for an API & AI Agent Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain the automation layer that powers AI-driven workflows across the is.fun platform. You’ll work closely with product, AI, and platform teams to turn high-level workflows into scalable, production-grade systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement API-driven automation workflows that connect AI models, services, and internal systems.

Build and orchestrate AI agents that perform tasks such as content generation, transformation, moderation, enrichment, and analysis.

Integrate third-party APIs (LLMs, image/video generation, analytics, messaging, etc.) into cohesive pipelines.

Develop robust error handling, retries, logging, and observability for automated workflows.

Collaborate with product and AI teams to translate business logic into agent-based systems.

Optimize automation for performance, cost efficiency, and scalability.

Maintain clear documentation for APIs, workflows, and agent behaviors.

Continuously evaluate new AI tools, agent frameworks, and automation patterns.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience building API-based systems or automation pipelines.

Strong experience working with REST APIs, webhooks, and asynchronous workflows.

Hands-on experience integrating LLMs or AI services (OpenAI, Anthropic, image/video APIs, etc.).

Proficiency in at least one backend language such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C#.

Experience designing stateful or event-driven systems.

Comfort working with JSON, queues, background jobs, and distributed systems.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to reliability and edge cases.

Nice to Have

Experience with AI agent frameworks or orchestration tools.

Background in workflow engines, job schedulers, or event-driven architectures.

Experience with cloud platforms and serverless infrastructure.

Familiarity with prompt engineering, tool calling, or multi-agent coordination.

Interest in creative AI, media automation, or content platforms.

Who You Are

You enjoy connecting systems and making them work together intelligently. You think in workflows, states, and edge cases. You’re excited by the idea of AI agents acting autonomously but reliably. You value clean interfaces, strong abstractions, and systems that can evolve quickly. You’re comfortable operating in ambiguity and enjoy turning complex ideas into working automation.

How to Apply

1. Visit www.is.fun and sign up for a free account.

2. In the top right, 'co-create' a new ism — a short statement or idea you’d feel proud sharing publicly.
