Staff Nurse

<p>DESCRIPTION</p> <ul> <li>To provide and maintain caring and high professional standards of nursing care utilizing the set standards, procedures and policies, to meet patients’ needs and have job satisfaction.</li> </ul> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li> To utilize the standards and procedures of nursing care to continuously improve the quality of nursing care and exceed patients expectations </li> <li>To be a role model of the nursing profession and exercise professionalism at all times while treating patients with dignity, privacy and respect.</li> <li>To learn to communicate effectively with other professionals/patients and their significant others including staff of other departments inorder to advocate for patients effectively. </li> <li>To utilize infection control measures in place, to provide a safe and suitable environment for patients/staff and others.</li> <li>To uphold statutory regulations as required by the nursing profession and the Laws of Kenya.</li> <li>To safeguard all confidential information concerning patients and their treatment.</li> <li>To report all complaints and incidents to the shift-in-charge as they occur in your line of duty.</li> <li>To learn to be knowledgeable of the equipment in use in the ward/department and safeguard hospital/patient property and equipment from damage, wastage or loss.</li> <li>To maintain and regularly update professional knowledge and competence through education, self motivated learning and participate in research in the ward. </li> <li>To learn to provide accurate documentation, proper record keeping and storage for continuity, quality and legal reference.</li> <li>To utilize available resource effectively for quality service delivery, profitability and cost containment.</li> <li>To learn and practice good interpersonal relationship amongst the nursing team, patients and other disciplines.</li> <li>Any other duty as assigned by the supervisor in line with the job description.</li> </ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>KCSE C and above.</li> <li>Diploma in accredited School of Nursing: KRN/M, KRCHN/BScN</li> <li>At least 1-3 years </li> </ul> <p>Last Date to Apply: 2025-08-31</p>
