<span class="jobdescription"><p><span style="color:#ff8c00;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"><strong>A Place Where People Matter.  </strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Start your career journey with Univar Solutions!  Here you can make an impact on the world around you and accelerate your career in areas that energize and excite you. </span></p><p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">We are looking for a motivated and experienced Sr. Sales Account Manager to join our Beauty and Personal Care team!</span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">You will be responsible for building a long-term, value-based relationship with accounts; penetrating them for further business and improving the margin they create while reducing the time and costs of managing them.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:darkorange"><strong>What you'll do</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Improve Univar’s position within each account using consultative and in-depth selling at all levels within the account.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Prospect for new business by conducting sales calls to actively grow the size of the territory.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Focus on customer retention and overall customer satisfaction.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Provide customer technical support and consultant services to increase our overall value to the customer.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Maintain a clear updated view of your sales pipeline.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Set pricing and service levels, as well as maintain and coordinate customer quotations or provide necessary information to allow local branches to do so.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Coordinate with Local Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to ensure proper inventory levels.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Demonstrate commitment to safety, both personal and of your colleagues.</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:darkorange"><strong>What you'll need</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Minimum of 7+ years of sales experience in the Beauty & Personal Care (raw chemicals) industry.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Sales experience in manufacturing, distribution, industrial, or chemical industry sales is preferred.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Bachelor’s degree (Technical Science, Chemistry preferred but not required).</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Ability to nurture an extensive network of contacts.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Demonstrated competitive drive.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Strong business savvy, including an understanding of the business relationship between manufacturers, distributors, and end-users of chemical products and services.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Well-honed listening skills and a problem-solving mindset to uncover needs and motivations to overcome objections to closing a sale.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Effective negotiation skills that allow Univar to realize appropriate value for products and services</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Ability to travel within the assigned territory.</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:darkorange"><strong>Where you'll work</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">This is a <strong>home-based</strong> opportunity — Covered territory includes Chicago, IL.
