Role Overview
The Dental Sell-Side Advisor is the primary engine for converting dental leads into high-value signed contracts.
You will navigate the complex landscape of private equity-backed Dental Service Organizations (DSOs) and act as a strategic advisor for multi-million dollar transitions.
This role requires a sophisticated blend of financial literacy, local market credibility, and the ability to build deep trust with practitioners as they transition their life's work.
As part of a distributed global team, you will occasionally participate in meetings outside of standard local business hours to ensure synchronous collaboration with our partners worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Deal Management: Manage a high-volume pipeline and consistently deliver signed contracts within the dental vertical.
Valuation & Analysis: Perform dental-specific valuations using US metrics, EBITDA normalization, and clinical metric interpretation (e.g., active patient counts and case acceptance).
DSO Relationship Leadership: Establish and maintain "First-Look" status with major US Dental Service Organizations and private equity groups.
Deal Structuring: Navigate complex M&A components including "Holdbacks," "Earn-outs," and "Equity Rolls".
Data Integrity: Ensure 100% accuracy in P&L gathering and tax return analysis before presenting to senior executives.
Vertical Penetration: Secure deals across targeted sub-verticals, including General Dentistry, Orthodontics, and Oral Surgery
Global Collaboration: Our team spans several time zones. To keep us aligned, this role requires occasional early morning or late evening calls. In exchange, we offer a high degree of autonomy and flexibility during the standard workday to ensure you maintain a healthy work-life balance
Who You Are
Highly Organized: You manage complex, multi-million dollar pipelines with precision and rigor.
Detail-Oriented: You have an eye for analytical rigor, ensuring no detail is missed in financial reporting or deal structuring.
Strong Communicator: You speak the specific language of American dental practice management and can build immediate credibility with US-based dentists.
Relentless: You are momentum-driven and results-oriented, always pushing to move deals through the pipeline.
Skills & Experience
Over 5 years of experience and proven background in finance, investment banking, or equity sales. Particular background in dentistry and dental practice brokerage is a huge plus.
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance or related field
Strong negotiation skills and proficiency in US dental M&A deal structures.
Deep understanding of the "Buy-Box" criteria for major US groups like Heartland, Aspen, or Pacific Dental.
Ability to analyze clinical metrics and dental-specific benchmarks (e.g., payroll % to revenue, lab fee ratios)
Proficiency in CRM management and digital tools to maintain pipeline discipline
Why This Role Matters
Revenue Generation: You drive the conversion of leads into contracts with an average value of $4M–$6M USD.
DSO Acquisition Expertise: You navigate the complex deal structures of private equity buyers, ensuring optimal outcomes for our clients.
Market Authority: You position the firm as a premier source for high-revenue practices within the US dental market.
Maintains Deal Momentum: You provide the constant negotiation and local market knowledge required to hit a target of 15–20 signed contracts annually.
