About the position

The Los Angeles Dodgers currently have a job opportunity for a Digital and Print Publications and Alumni Relations Fellow. The Digital and Print Publications and Alumni Relations department is hybrid. On the publications side, we are one branch of Dodgers content specifically focused on written content (Dodger Insider magazine, Dodgerinsider.com and social media channels, and other Dodger print publications). On the Alumni Relations side, we are responsible for programming, relationship building and stewardship with former players, content and all things that support internal departments in the organization and external partners in relation to Dodger alumni. This program consists of 80% in-department work, 15% cross-functional project experience, and 5% additional programming. Fellows collaborate on real business projects in small cross-functional groups while gaining hands-on, department-specific experience under a dedicated manager. The program is 100% in person/onsite.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities will include writing, copy editing, short- and long-form content production, administrative duties as assigned, assistance in content management, verbal and written communication, assistance in alumni programming events (which includes coordination and duties within each event).

Requirements

  • This position requires that the individual have excellent journalism/writing skills, which include mastery of AP style, copy-editing experience/expertise, attention to detail, fact-checking skills, research and writing skills (preferred baseball writing experience and published work), and knowledge of baseball/Dodgers history and statistics.
  • This position requires that the individual has strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as administrative experience.
  • Attention to detail, note-taking and note-keeping skills.
  • Current student with a graduation date of December 2025/January 2026 OR within one year post graduation
  • Graduated from undergrad or graduate school, with no more than a 2-year gap between undergraduate graduation and the start of graduate school
  • Must be available to live and work in Los Angeles or your assigned office location throughout the duration of your 5-month program from March to August 2026
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
  • Passionate about working for a professional sports team
  • Proactive and out of the box thinking

Nice-to-haves

  • Multi-media skills, including social media skills are preferred.
  • Photoshop and PowerPoint skills preferred.
  • Interview skills preferred (experience in interviewing college or professional athletes).
